Italy is BEAUTIFUL!!

I got back from Italy this morning. I really did not want to leave. It was just so beautiful. The food was amazing. The towns were picturesque. And the MEN were ‘Molto Bello.”  I have so many thoughts and pictures to share.  Where do I start?

I’m going to Italy

I’m going to Italy next week. A whole week where I can visit Pompei, the Almafi Coast, Naples, Sorrento and so much more. I am truly excited. The food! The wine! The MEN!!!!! This is the way to celebrate my birthday. 40 here I come.

Planning My Trip

Well I’m back in London.  My birthday is coming up in July and I’m trying to figure out where I want to spend it. This time I’m going somewhere. I did a search yesterday with Thomas Cook, Thomson, First Choice and SKYTravel and the results weren’t cheap. I searched Portugal and the prices weren’t what I expected. Someone I knew did a trip there for 150 sterling all-inclusive. The prices are showing right are 435 sterling and up for b&b and Half-Board. Whats up with that. So Portugal is hot. Turkey had some nice prices starting at 235 sterling. I still want to go to Turkey but do I want to go for my birthday? I don’t think so. I also looked at the Almafi Coast. BIG MISTAKE!! It looks so beautiful. The prices were 435 sterling and up but I still will consider it. Its the Almafi Coast. I’m definitely leaning towards it. A week there would be wonderful. I would really have to save up and plan accordingly.

Holiday Planning

So I’ve been looking at holiday destinations for June or July. There are so many countries that I still want to see. Right now, I’m looking Malta, Tunisia (Africa), Turkey, Egypt, Greece, Goa and Cypress. I’ve checked 4 different websites and the prices really look good. I can get the resort (B&B or half board), flight, pickup and drop off for a very look price. What price you ask? Under 200 pounds. Thats right! I’m so EXCITED!!!

Home, Here I Come

My next trip will be to the USA. Thats right, I’m coming back for 2 weeks.

Spain

I’ve been back from Spain for 2 weeks now and I’m finally feeling like my old self. For the last 2 weeks I’ve been so tired. Just about right after I got back from Spain I had to go somewhere else and I just got back from that place last Monday. Anyway Spain wasn’t bad but it wasn’t all that I thought it would be. If you ever go, make sure you know Spanish. Most people don’t speak English.

The resort area was right on the beach but there was nothing AUTHENTIC, so to me it wasn’t really Spanish. Coast Daurado is nice though. I spent 2 days on the beach in my bikini getting a tan. The water felt really great on my skin.

My first day out was to Tarronga. I walked around the harbor and the downtown area and saw the Paleocristina Musuem, which is in ruins. There are other temples in Tarronga but I didn’t see them. On Sunday the very next day, I went to The Bonavista Market which is in a very slummy area. It kinda looked like the north end of London- Nottinghill. Anyway I did a lot of shopping that day and most of it was for me. I finally found a pair of brown sandals that I like in my size. There absolutely cute. I would have done more shopping there but it started to rain. UNBELIEVABLE. Anyway on the 4th day I went to Cambril which is a fishing village at the very end of the resort area beach. There were many different shops there but I just bought postcards. I guess when you’ve seen one souvenir shop you’ve seen them all. They all were pretty much selling the same thing.

2 days later I went to Barcelona and lost my tour guide. I saw nothing but the downtown area of Barcelona. What a waste. Barcelona was suppose to be the highlight of this trip for me. I will be going  back to Barcelona for the weekend next year. I have to see Gaudio’s work.

All in all Spain was ok. I could have had more fun if I was with friends, but oh well. I got a free trip and I saw some nice places. I tell though, I was glad when it ended. It was a very long week.

Costa Dorado

So, I leave for Spain this Friday. I will be staying at Estival Park. Its a really nice resort. The resort lies on the beach and its not too far from Barcelona. I really want to go to Barcelona. I remember it so well from the Olympics and now I may have a opportunity to go there. This is AWESOME. Even though I’ll be working I think I’ll get some relaxation from the trip. I have two more days to prepare and then I am off.

Guess What…

I’m going to Spain next week. Its a working holiday(theirs, not mine), and all expenses will be paid for. I don’t need to bring any money. I really hope the weather is nice and warm. I’m really looking forward to going to Spain. It should be very nice. I post some pictures during or after my trip.

Isle Of Wight Videos

These are some of the videos from my birthday weekend. The Big Fish and I had a great time. We actually rode on the cliff ride at Needles Park. I was soo scared that I kept calling on the name of Jesus. I don’t do amusement park rides anymore because they make me sick. But this cliff ride was great and the views were amazing. I also have video of Brighstone Village which is a lovly town in the country. The stone cottages were absolutely beautiful. I wish I could have stayed in one. Maybe on my next trip to IOW. Anyway, I hope you like the videos.
