Its Friday night and I just had the most exhausting yet exhilarating conversation with him. He really worked me over. I’m laughing right now over the whole conversation. He was funny but he was also very real. I like this guy and I think he will be a true friend; which is something I need right now. Men come and go but a true friend is a lifetime. So he is going to be my friend and we will go out when he gets a free weekend. I have no doubt that we will have fun especially since we got all the sexual tension out of the way. I told y’all the conversation was exhilarating.

Sunday Evening in London
November 17, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Well, its Sunday evening and I’m taking a much needed break. I’ve been serving food in the pub today, so I’m kinda beat. I was a wee bit disappointed today. Nothing bad happend. Its just the guy that I realized that I’m attracted to didn’t come into the pub today. He came in yesterday, which was a nice surprise; but not today. And I just realized this past Wednesday or Thursday that I liked him. He is nice (he has watched over my stuff, bought me some things and looked after me), and funny and has a very sexy British accent. I LOVE ACCENTS, at least some. Give me British, Scottish, Irish, French and some other ones I can’t think of right now. When I look at him; I think hes So Pretty. LOL! Anyway, I’m not falling. I just think we could have fun going out. He’s funny. I’m fun. What a great combo. I’m going to make some subtle moves to see if I can get this going. If hes interested, he’ll ask me out. If not, then oh well.
I’m still job searching, but I’ve been doing alittle bartending. The manager at the pub threw me behind the bar last Sunday night and made me sink or swim. Of course, I swam. I had to. Its somewhat diffucult understanding the accents. I have a hard time with Jamaicans which is funny since my mother is Jamaican. The accent is just so thick and some speak so fast. I also had a hard time understanding this white guy from I think Ireland. He speaks in mumbled tones; so I have to ask him to repeat himself. Jamie seems cool though. He’s told me alittle about his life. I tell ya, when you’re behind a bar people open up. I feel like Sam Malone from Cheers.
I’ll post up pictures of me bartending. Its too funny. I never would have ever thought I would be bartending. Whem Vyonne mentioned it to me, I was hoping she was kidding. Boy was I wrong.

Shopping on Oxford Street
November 17, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Me and Angela went shopping Saturday night and had the best time. We left at 3pm and came back about 12midnight. The lights were out and it was so beautiful. We did lunch and dinner and just walked around for hours. I bought a really nice sweater dress that I will wear on my date (read the next post). I look good in it too.
Oxford Street was soo packed last night. We were just squeezing in and out of human traffic. I didn’t realize it would be that jam packed. Its not even the last week of Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, I’ll be spending Christmas in London. Vyonne invited me to Christmas Dinner with the family. But me and Angela will be going out of town afterwards. I want to do New Years somewhere else. I’m looking forward to it. Whatever it is.
Enjoy the pictures.

Back In London
November 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment
So, I’ve been back in London for just alittle over a week and this is my first post. I really needed the time to just compress and get settled. Since I’ve been back, I’ve been really busy. I’m looking for a job and a flat (apartment). I’ve also applied for my National Insurance Number (SSN). I had an appointment yesterday for it, but I got lost. It took me 3 and 1/2 hrs to get there. So I had to reschedule it. I see a lot of jobs in Social Services, so I’m looking into it. You may not know this but I used to be a Social Worker. Crazy, hah!!! I’m looking for graphic positions also but I haven’t seen the right one yet. Hopefully I will.
Anyway, today I went to Camden Market. It wasn’t what I expected. I expected a covered building and it definitely wasn’t that. I expected to see fruit vendors, dessert vendors and other exotic vendors. Boy was I disappointed. It was like I was at a Flea Market. And then it rained. I just expected more. Everything was pretty much the same. Greenwich Market is so much better. They have a higher class of product.
Since I’ve been back, I’ve been socializing more. I’ve spent everyday in the Pub meeting people. One person that I’ve met is Gloria. She is intelligent, strong and direct and I like that. I love meeting women like that because you learn so much from them. She has given me a couple contacts and I am pursuing them. Hopefully before the end of the month I will have a job.
I’m not sure right now what I will do for Christmas. I was thinking about going back to Prague or visiting Paris. I know one thing, all my shopping will be done on line.
This week I think I’ll do alittle sight-seeing. So expect some pictures.
